Solid Waste Disposal Authority Launches New Curbside Recycling Program in Collaboration with the Town of Magnolia Springs

Magnolia Springs, AL – The Solid Waste Disposal Authority (SWDA) of Baldwin County, in collaboration with the Town of Magnolia Springs, has officially launched its curbside recycling program, providing residents with a convenient way to support a cleaner, more sustainable community.

Magnolia Springs residents can now opt into a weekly curbside recycling service for $10 per month, making it easier than ever to recycle common household materials such as paper, plastic,  aluminum, and cardboard. For a complete list of accepted materials, visit baldwinrecycles.org/recycling/recycling-details.

“This program gives our residents a simple, affordable way to help protect the natural beauty that defines Magnolia Springs, ” said Mayor Ross Houser.

“Our community is built on stewardship and connection to the environment, and curbside recycling is another step toward preserving what makes this town so special.”

The monthly service fee helps cover the cost of hauling, sorting, and responsibly processing recyclable materials. Residents may choose to be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually through SWDA of Baldwin County.

“This program is another important step in our mission to make recycling more accessible across Baldwin County,” said Terri Graham, chief executive officer of SWDA.

“By expanding curbside service, we’re giving residents the tools to take action and help build a cleaner, greener future for our communities.”

The curbside recycling program in Magnolia Springs is part of SWDA’s broader effort to expand recycling access countywide and encourage responsible waste management in both urban and rural areas. These initiatives work hand in hand with county facilities such as the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Summerdale and the Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials (CHaRM) in Fairhope and Summerdale, providing residents with multiple options to recycle more and waste less.
