South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Alicia Watts as Member Engagement Director

FOLEY, Ala. – The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Alicia Watts has joined the Chamber team as its new Member Engagement Director.

In this role, Alicia will focus on all aspects of Chamber membership, including recruiting new members and strengthening relationships with existing investors and partners. She will lead efforts to cultivate and grow meaningful connections that ensure members are engaged, informed, and receiving maximum value from their Chamber investment. Alicia will also serve as the Chamber’s new representative for Lower Alabama Young Professionals (LAYP), helping foster engagement among the region’s emerging leaders.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alicia to our Chamber team. Her passion for building meaningful relationships and supporting local businesses makes her a perfect fit for this role. Alicia will play a key part in strengthening member engagement and ensuring our businesses are well-connected, informed, and positioned to thrive through their involvement with the Chamber. We can't wait for everyone to meet her." – Travis Valentine, President & CEO, South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce

Born and raised in Foley and a graduate of Foley High School—where she was voted “Most Dependable” in her senior Who’s Who—Alicia has deep roots in the community she now serves. She currently resides in Daphne and remains actively involved throughout Baldwin County.

Alicia brings a relationship-based, person-centered approach to her work, shaped by a diverse professional background. While in college and shortly thereafter, she worked in hospitality sales and event and banquet management, gaining valuable experience in client service and engagement. She later built a seven-year career in the mental health field, serving both children and adults through behavioral health services, crisis counseling, in-home intervention therapy, case management, intensive care coordination, and crisis outreach and intervention.

Her commitment to serving others extends beyond her professional roles. Alicia currently serves in youth ministry at her church and directs an annual Back to School event in Foley that supports approximately 200 children and families each year. The event provides free backpacks, school supplies, food, beverages, a blood drive, and access to community resources. Most recently, she also organized a community kickball tournament fundraiser that awarded a scholarship to a local college student.

Alicia is passionate about fostering dignity in others, empowering individuals to be their best selves, and making a lasting positive impact in the community. She often reflects on a guiding principle in her life: “Your first duty is to humanity.” – Madam C.J. Walker.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and traveling.

The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce looks forward to introducing Alicia to its membership and the broader business community in the coming weeks.
