Where Compassion Meets Hope: Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation Cuts Ribbon in Daphne

Ribbon Cutting for Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation

February 10, 2026 | Daphne, AL — The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce recently joined Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation for a joint ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the organization’s newly dedicated entrance and space inside Southern Cancer Center of Daphne. Chamber leadership, members, supporters, and community partners gathered to mark this important milestone and show their support for the Foundation’s continued growth and service to the community.

Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to easing the financial burden faced by cancer patients so they can focus on healing. Serving individuals and families throughout South Alabama, Anchor Cross provides direct financial assistance to cancer patients in Baldwin and Mobile Counties, regardless of where they receive treatment.

Located inside Southern Cancer Center in Daphne, Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation is uniquely positioned to support patients and families during one of the most challenging times of their lives. By working closely within a cancer care environment, Anchor Cross remains deeply connected to the real-time needs of patients undergoing active treatment.

Cancer often brings unexpected expenses that extend far beyond medical bills. Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation offers financial assistance to help cover essential living costs such as utilities, groceries, transportation to and from treatment, insurance premiums, prescriptions, and other everyday necessities. These grants are awarded on a case-by-case basis to qualified patients, providing immediate relief and peace of mind during treatment.

Anchor Cross serves patients and families across Baldwin and Mobile Counties — two regions with significant cancer care needs — ensuring that local support stays local. All assistance provided by the Foundation goes directly to easing financial stress so patients can focus on their health, recovery, and time with loved ones.

Funding for these vital services is made possible largely through the Foundation’s signature annual fundraiser, the Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation Masquerade Ball, scheduled for June 13, 2026. This elegant community event brings together supporters, sponsors, and advocates for an evening dedicated to raising funds that directly support cancer patients in South Alabama. Proceeds from the Masquerade Ball help sustain Anchor Cross's patient assistance programs throughout the year.

Through community generosity and unwavering commitment, Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation continues to be a vital resource for those facing cancer, offering compassion, stability, and tangible support when it is needed most.
