The 25th Annual Sunset Supper was held earlier this month at the beautiful Belforest Pointe in Daphne. Board and staff members gathered with sponsors, supporters, and guests to enjoy an evening of live music, gourmet food, and spirited bidding at the expansive silent auction.
Each Sunset Supper features a dynamic program, including a live auction led by local auctioneer Cecil Christenberry. The most powerful moment of the evening is always our survivor speaker, someone who bravely shares their personal story of domestic violence or sexual assault and the life-changing role The Lighthouse played in their journey toward safety and healing.
“I will never forget the wisdom, guidance, and resources The Lighthouse had for me when I needed it the most. I frequently have the opportunity to pass on those lessons to women I meet in the community and I always point them to connect with The Lighthouse. Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting this invaluable resource in the community.” Survivor Speaker at the 2025 Sunset Supper
We are especially grateful to The Joseph Treadwell Foundation for serving as our Sunset Supper Title Sponsor for the third consecutive year.
We extend our deepest thanks to every individual, business, and group who sponsored this event, donated items and services to our silent auction, or volunteered their time to support us. The proceeds from this evening will help us continue providing vital services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, allowing us to remain a beacon of hope in this community.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The Lighthouse was thrilled by the number of partner agencies and individuals who joined us in raising awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. Special thanks go to the City of Daphne for hosting the 7th Annual Candlelight Vigil, the City of Spanish Fort for encouraging all their employees to wear purple, and Gypsy Queens Java for hosting their first “Learning Break and Brew,” where guests learned about The Lighthouse’s services.
Throughout the month, we received 11 proclamations from the Baldwin County Commission and 10 municipalities across Baldwin and Monroe Counties. We would especially like to highlight the proclamation with Charles Murphy and the City of Robertsdale. Since The Lighthouse’s inception in 1994 we have enjoyed Mr. Murphy’s unwavering support throughout these 31 years. From making event space available, to attending our events, to backing the agency with financial support, we could not have asked for more. We wish Mr. Murphy all the very best as he transitions into his next venture.
As we are approaching the holiday season, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
