Foley Main Street Offers Two More Workshops to Help You Build Confidence and Make Your Work Life Easier

Learn practical skills to handle tricky customer situations and get more done with less stress.

FOLEY, AL – August 8, 2025 – Do you ever wish you had the perfect words for a tough customer? Or feel like your to-do list is a mile long and you don’t know where to start? Foley Main Street is continuing the Skills for Success workshop series with two new sessions designed to help you tackle these exact challenges. Funded by a Regions grant, hosted by Foley Main Street, and taught by the Auburn School of Business, these sessions will help you build confidence, improve work habits, and enhance skills for both your current role and future job opportunities. 

The free workshops, scheduled for August 26 and September 16, will provide simple, practical skills that you can use right away at your job—and in your daily life. The first workshop in the series was a huge hit, with attendees loving the fun and practical tips on how to better communicate with everyone.

Here’s what you’ll learn in the upcoming sessions:

August 26: Feel Confident with Any Customer
This workshop is for anyone who interacts with the public. You’ll learn how to:

• Genuinely connect with people, making your day more pleasant.

• Stay cool and professional, even when things get tough.

• Turn a customer complaint into a positive experience, making you look like a superstar.

September 16: Take Control of Your Day (and Your To-Do List!)
Feel like you’re constantly juggling and trying to keep up? This session will help you:

• Set clear goals so you know exactly what you need to do to succeed.

• Focus on what’s most important and stop wasting energy on small stuff.

• Leave work feeling accomplished and less stressed.

• Cost: FREE for anyone working at a downtown Foley business! ($50 per session for those outside the downtown district).
