“Strike Out Hunger” Bowling Fundraiser Coming to Foley

FOLEY, Ala. — Alabama Credit Union Foundation is proud to host the annual Strike Out Hunger bowling fundraiser on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Gulf Bowl in Foley. This community-driven event supports Secret Meals for Hungry Children, which provides weekend food packs for students experiencing food insecurity in South Baldwin County.

Participants are encouraged to form teams of eight for an afternoon of bowling, friendly competition, and giving back. An online auction will also run August 15–23, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Secret Meals. In 2024, the event raised over $45,000 and helped feed more than 600 local students.

  Includes logo at food/beverage areas, 1 bowling lane, name on auction site, and social media.
• Legacy Lane Sponsor – $1,000 (6 available)
  Includes logo on lane banner, 1 bowling lane, name on auction site, and social media.
• Lane Sponsor – $500 (3 available)
  Includes lane banner and 1 bowling lane (team of 8).
• Friends of Secret Meals
  Individual donors may give in honor/memory of a loved one to help fight childhood hunger.

Founded in 2008 by Alabama Credit Union, Secret Meals discreetly delivers shelf-stable weekend food packs to students in need, ensuring they return to school on Monday nourished and ready to learn. Just $140 feeds one child for an entire school year.
