Future Sales Leaders Internship Program
Hybrid – Mix of fieldwork, remote analytics, and in-office opportunities
Interns must live in a state in which Point Broadband operates (AL, FL, GA, MD, MI, NY, OH, TN, TX, or VA)
Interns must be able to commit to 15-30 hours of work per week
Program Overview:
This internship is designed to give students hands-on experience across multiple sales and marketing functions in a dynamic and customer-facing business environment. Interns will select 2–3 rotational disciplines based on their career interests and development goals.
Program Duration:
8–12 weeks (Semester-based)
Schedule Flexibility:
- Minimum 15 hours/week

University Credit Requirements:
- Interns participating in the Summer Intern Program are responsible for coordinating directly with their college or university to ensure the program meets any requirements for academic credit.
- The company will provide documentation, evaluations, and confirmation of hours worked upon request, but it is the student’s responsibility to initiate and manage any necessary processes with their institution.
Rotational Opportunities (students choose 2–3 rotations; 1 rotation with a $$ is required):
1. Door-to-Door Sales (Field-Based) $$
- Real-world customer acquisition experience
- Training in prospecting, pitching, and relationship-building
- Field coaching and territory management
- CRM usage and lead tracking
2. Inbound /Outbound Sales (Remote) $$
- Work with warm leads and incoming sales inquiries
- Make outbound sales calls to prospective customers
- Training in customer engagement, needs analysis, and closing techniques
- Practice using call/chat platforms and sales enablement tools
- Learn KPIs like conversion rates and customer retention
3. Sales Analytics (Remote)
- Exposure to data tools like Excel, Sales Rabbit, Salesforce, or Power BI
- Analyze sales trends, territory performance, and campaign ROI
- Collaborate with sales leaders to identify actionable insights
- Create daily, weekly, monthly sales reporting
- Present findings to internal stakeholders
4. Order Entry / Back Office Processing (Remote)
- Exposure to tools like Excel, Sales Rabbit, and customer billing systems
- Review, verify and input customer data into billing systems
- Conduct new customer appointment confirmation calls
- Conduct customer satisfaction follow-up calls
- Invoice and commission review/auditing
5. Marketing Support & Customer Education (Field-Based & Virtual) $$
- Assist with field pop-up events, promotional campaigns, and educational outreach
- Learn how to engage communities and drive customer awareness
- Work with web-based marketing tools and evaluate campaign effectiveness
- Support event setup, lead capture, and follow-up processes
- Participate in creating collateral and digital content
- Support internal marketing and communication leaders by creating internal content and supporting collateral ordering processes

Orientation & Training (Week 1)

- Introduction to each rotation area
Monthly Learning Series
- Workshops, guest speakers, and career development sessions
- Resume-building and mock interviews
Mentorship & Coaching
- Assigned mentor from within the sales or marketing organization
- Weekly check-ins and growth feedback
Capstone Project
- As part of the Intern Program, each intern will complete a Capstone Project aligned with their area of focus.
- This project will allow interns to apply their learning to real-world business challenges, showcase their skills, and provide value to the organization.
- Interns will present their final projects to leaders and stakeholders at the end of the program.
