🐾 Adopt One, Help Many. That’s The Rescue Effect. The Haven is proud to participate in the ASPCA’s Rescue Effect, a nationwide campaign helping more shelter pets find loving homes. Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the ASPCA, adoption fees will be completely waived for eligible dogs and cats ages 6 months and older at The Haven during our September Rescue Effect promotional period: September 5–19, 2026 Regular adoption fees of $150 for adult cats and $200 for adult dogs will be waived during the promotion. ❤️ What stays the same? Our adoption application and approval process. Removing the adoption fee removes one financial barrier—not our commitment to finding the right match between pets and families. Every adoption changes the life of the pet going home while also creating space, time and resources to help the next homeless animal who needs us. That’s the ripple behind The Rescue Effect.
