Overdose Drug Awareness Day

Sunday, August 30, 2026 (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

One Big Family, Driven by Hope.

Join Big Fish Ministries this International Overdose Awareness Day in Foley, Alabama, as we honor lives lost, support those still struggling, and unite our community to take meaningful action. The overdose crisis has left a deep mark on families here in Foley and across Baldwin County.

It’s not just individuals who are affected—it’s classrooms, churches, workplaces and the communities we call home. At Big Fish Ministries, we’ve seen firsthand how pain can isolate, but also how healing can bring people together. In a time when so many are searching for hope, we are reminded that our lives are more connected than we often realize.

We all fiercely protect those we love—our children, our spouses, our friends. But what if we extended that same compassion and care to everyone impacted by addiction and loss? What if we saw each other as one big family with shared struggles, united by hope?

This August 30, let’s reimagine what it means to be a family—one that stands for grace and second chances. Every story told, every candle lit, and every voice lifted matters. We invite you to stand with us as we remember those we’ve lost and commit to building a future where fewer lives are cut short. Together, we can help write a different story.
